Security
Our site uses industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to provide encryption of personal information such as your name, address and credit card details. In this way, information passed between your computer and this website cannot be read in the unlikely event of someone intercepting it. This comparison services site does not process card or other payments of any sort and there is no requirement for anyone to pay for the comparison services offered on this site. It is free to any UK customers shopping for products offered through this site. However, if you click through to a product provider’s site via a link on this site to purchase a product, you must read the product provider’s own security and privacy statements to ensure your details are being processed securely and you understand how it will be processed and stored. No liability is accepted for the processing or use of your data carried out by product provider(s).

Passwords
When you register on this site by entering the required details onto this website, you can set up a logon and password, personal to you and your data. You can access your data at a time convenient for you, if you wish, without having to input it all again. Your password will not be exposed to any unauthorised person or to any third parties other than Call Connection and First Financial.

Privacy
Both Call Connection and First Financial take the protection of your data very seriously and have notified the Information Commissioner of our intention to process personal data and commitment to do so in accordance with the laws they enforce; namely The Data Protection Act 1998 (as amended) and associated laws and regulations.
The following type of information is needed in order to properly provide the comparison service during the registration and application process; name, address, email address, telephone numbers and date of birth answers to security questions, user name and password. Information about you may also be received from product providers when they generate quotations as part of the comparison service. The information First Financial has will include any information it receives if you are or become a customer of First Financial or any of its group companies. By disclosing your personal data you consent to the collection, storage and processing of such data in the manner set out in this Privacy policy.
Storage and use of your data
When your personal, and where required sensitive, data is collected via the registration forms provided on this site, the data is collated using secure methods. The data is stored on the Call Connection database to enable it to be posted to product providers’ sites to provide the comparison service to you. By providing such data you will be deemed to consent to use of such data to provide the comparison service.
The product provider receives your data through a posting to their web service, but is not allowed to use it for any purposes other than to provide a quotation in order to allow this site to provide the comparison service results to you. No liability can be accepted for the manner in which product providers use or process your data.
If you chose to purchase a product from one of the product providers, you will then be deemed to be giving them permission to use your data for the purpose of administering the contract you have applied for with them and you may be deemed by them to have given other permissions. You must check provider’s policies and terms and conditions carefully to ensure you know what permission(s) you are granting them.
The data you provide when registering will only be used for the purpose of
(i) providing the comparison service to you;
(ii) providing you with any other information on products of First Financial or Call Connection; and
(iii) unless you indicate otherwise, sharing your data with other carefully selected third party marketing companies to provide you with information on products we feel may be of interest to you.
You may also be contacted at a future date to assist with comparison services for other similar products, or at the renewal date of the product you have enquired about after visiting this site. Where a comparison service is offered to you, in the future, it will be based on the information you originally submitted to this site (for example: car details or renewal dates), therefore you must check this information carefully. If there have been any changes to the data, you are responsible for updating that data , so that accurate and up to date data can be used in future comparisons, and to ensure the correct comparison results are provided to you.
Removing permission
You are deemed to agree to use of your data to provide you with further offers and products as set out above when you visit or register with this site. However this permission can be revoked at any time by you. If you do not wish to receive any future information from Call Connection or First Financial and/or you do not want your data to be provided or shared with carefully selected third parties and you have not ticked the appropriate options on SimplyCompare.co.uk when you registered, you can update your contact preferences here: Update Contact Profile., or write to us at our registered office address at any time. In addition you will always be given the opportunity to unsubscribe from emails sent to you.
Before you provide us with any information about anyone other than yourself, you must get their prior permission. Unsolicited e-mails

Where this is required by a product provider, we have established agreements with these organisations not to send you unsolicited e-mails unless you consent to receive them. Call Connection monitors such organisations by placing seed data into their systems to ensure no unsolicited contacts are made. Call Connection will not, in operating the comparison service, opt-in to any contact options on your behalf with such product providers to further prevent your data being inappropriately used. If you experience any problems with unwanted contact or have any concerns over how product providers are using your data, please notify Call Connection at comments@callconnection.com.
Purchasing your product
Once you have received your comparison service results from us, Call Connection or any of the top three by price insurance providers may attempt a courtesy service call to you to discuss the quotation, or ask if you need further information. Call Connection or any of the top three insurance providers by price, as part of the service they provide, may also contact you though email and SMS (text message service) unless you indicate otherwise.
Please be aware no advice or specific recommendations can be provided on the products or related services you have been quoted or offered other than by the relevant insurance product provider; Call Connection, in operating this service, will only be able to transfer you to the appropriate product providers who will be able to advise and assist further. You will not be able to purchase any products on or with SimplyCompare.co.uk direct.
Call Connection may record any form of telephone contact made to you, for training, security and monitoring purposes. Access to such recordings will be restricted to Call Connection, and will not be given to any other parties unless (i) a formal request, in accordance with applicable United Kingdom Laws, is made for the purpose of administering a product you may have purchased, or (ii)it is in you best interests, to meet any legal obligation, or (iii)it is to assist in the prevention or detection of crime, or (iv) it is for the purposes of any other legitimate interest of the data controller.
